PLEASE TAKE ACTION! SENATOR MAC HARB HAS ISSUED A BILL TO END THIS HUNT. WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! -- I am asking for your support for this bill. Let SENATOR MAC HARB know your thoughts at: harbsealbill@sen.parl.gc.ca. He introduced legislation in the Senate to amend The Fisheries Act, effectively ending the commercial seal hunt while respecting treaty obligations and protecting the rights of Canada%u2019s aboriginal people.

Canada%u2019s commercial seal hunt is a dying industry based primarily on demand for fur for luxury items. But markets for seal fur are disappearing and sealers%u2019 earnings have plummeted. Canadian tax payer dollars are supporting the commercial seal hunt.
